Hi, I'm Grace! With 4 years experience, I have tutored 1000+ sessions, working with over 60 clients across two continents including students with a range of SEND needs. Currently on my placement year in Tech Sales at Oracle, I am pursuing a degree in Business Management at King's College, one of the most competitive courses in the UK, predicted a First Class Honors. I am proud to have been recognized as the highest performer in my sixth form in the past 5 years, achieving A*,A*,A* grades at A-level in Economics, Psychology and English Language, earning all Subject Awards for my exceptional achievements, and consistently attained grades of 9s and 8s across all subjects during my GCSEs. This accomplishment speaks to my dedication, hard work, and consistent academic performance and since leaving, my exam papers, revision materials and personal statements are all used as exemplar templates by the school across all subjects. As a tutor, my goal is to empower students by providing them with the necessary tools and knowledge to succeed. I strive to create a supportive and engaging learning environment, tailoring my teaching methods to suit each student's unique needs and learning style. Whether it's clarifying complex concepts, improving study skills or preparing for exams, I am committed to helping my students achieve their full potential with 95% of students reporting a 2-3 grade increase in the first 2 months of tuition. Throughout the sessions, I encourage my students to talk about their own passions to be able to integrate this into study, whatever the subject is. For me, outside of my studies, I am Editor-in-Chief of the From Women For Women magazine, writing my own novel, and do freelance marketing consultancy which has helped foster my love of writing and leadership. I am an experienced tutor of teaching English online for the last four years. I teach individually and in groups, both children and adults. I also have two years as a Leader of the Peer Assisted Learning Scheme (PALS) in English Literature at the University of Edinburgh. I am an alumna of the University of Edinburgh, having completed the English Language and Literature degree with a first in 2020. I also completed a master's course in Shakespeare Studies at King's College London with distinction. I currently work at King's College London and I am also a freelance writer.

While one-on-one tutoring cannot fully replace normal education as the primary way of learning, it is always a valuable aid for the student's academic success. I offer highly personalised tutoring in the subjects of English Literature, English Language, German language and other extracurricular skills such as: academic writing, bringing courses for university, personal statement writing and creative writing. My lessons are an open-minded mix of exam preparation techniques, lessons tailored individually to the student on the content of their course, and lessons focused on the discussion of feedback of the student's own work. In addition, I also offer bridging courses for students considering pursuing English Literature, Language, or Creative Writing at University. I am currently in the 3rd year of a German and English Literature undergraduate programme at the University of Edinburgh. I graduated with a First from Oxford in 2021 for my undergraduate Spanish BA, and have just finished my MA in Religion at Kings College London for which I was awarded a scholarship. I have tutored Spanish, EFL , English Literature, Religious studies and Philosophy both online and in person for over 5 years, including working at a school as a language teaching assistant. I took 11 GCSES and did the IB diploma, so I have a wide range of other subjects I enjoy tutoring, including literature, philosophy and history. I have learning disabilities - namely ADHD and dyspraxia - and have built up study skills that accommodate specific learning disorders, and am very happy to share these with any students who might need particular accommodations.
